I enjoyed this book while I was reading it, but I think the underdeveloped characters have made it one I don’t really remember several months later. I liked it, and I’m curious to see what the author does next. All in all, I was glad it made the Orange longlist because I likely wouldn’t have read it otherwise, but it wasn’t the best of the bunch this year.
