If your neck really hurts that bad it means that you are probably pulling on the back of your head in some exercises. The hands should be used as a headrest only! Otherwise you are cheating and succeeding at nothing other then pulling your own head off.

Hey Deb. You are right, I do have a narcissistic neighbor!GOM has SAD. His mother identified it when he was a little boy growing up in NYC. She didn't have a name for it, but she recognized it. He has one of those lamps at the office and recently got it out, at my suggestion.The lamp does help a lot. Amazing really.Great post as usual!
