I always wonder if I will shun the system that made me who I am completely. I mean, I read because of school. And I have lots of spiritual beliefs because I didn't like believing what the church taught me. But if the church hadn't taught me something that felt suffocating I would've never sought something different. Maybe I would have. I don't know.But anyway, I wonder how much I am going to do away with.

I totally believe in this! When I was volunteering for this clinic, I noticed how satisified I was with my life; it was more 'in balance'. My health was better and my attitude towards life and outcomes was less stressful. Doing things for others always gives you a great feeling--especially doing something for strangers. But some people have motives and expect gifts back in return. That needs to be evaluated sometimes. All in all, if you do it out of the kindness of your heart---I think that's key! Great post Deb!

that it is because she thinks of all the things books ahve to go through to get published. It is a long drawn out process requiring great effort. However, when she thinks of people writing on a website it can take seconds. So I think that because of the accesibility of websites to anyone with a few seconds and fingers makes it a questionable source for some people.
