I agree, the truth is often the collateral damage in a campaign year. But in addition to truth-telling, many more people need to modernize, get with the times, grow out of their fears about race. There’s a great deal of truth-seeking when rejecting prejudice. By definition prejudice is based on falsehood.
The idea that American cars are somehow substandard really is old news. The current stats do not bear it out and, anecdotally at least, neither do my personal experiences. My family now has 3 excellent GM automobiles and 1 excellent Chrysler. We all love them and have had no problems with them at all. I am all for supporting the home team(s) too but now they actually have earned it with their fine cars and trucks. So, drop the self-loathing negativity and go try out an American car or truck. I promise you will be pleasantly surprised.
