Do not use pledge … Do not use pledge or anything like that on any part of your bass. The chemicals in the cleaner heat up the varnish on your bass and can actually slowly remove it. Needless to say, that is a very, very bad thing. One key thing that I like to clean is the bridge itself. With little to no pressure at all, use a microfiber cloth to wipe the bridge down, as lots of rosin can obviously accumulate on the bridge. Just wipe down the strings with an excrutiatingly clean and soft cloth.
